Pirna as a business location

Pirna borders directly on the state capital of Dresden and is therefore at the center of the most important economic region in the new federal states. Around 1.2 million inhabitants live and work here. Its strengths include internationally important industries such as microelectronics, electrical engineering / precision mechanics, biotechnology and export-oriented mechanical engineering, a diverse SME sector, prestigious universities and research institutions as well as a first-class infrastructure.

Pirna also offers plenty of space to live, surrounded by a unique natural and cultural landscape. The cozy old town with its beautiful stores and restaurants, the nearby Saxon Switzerland National Park, but also the Ore Mountains and, of course, the state capital of Dresden form a perfect environment.
