The town of Pirna boasts an attractive range of commercial sites. The existing commercial locations are characterized by a flourishing economy, reflecting a successful relocation policy. The aim is to create a magnet for high-growth companies and the key technologies of the 21st century in the Pirna-Dohna-Heidenau triangle. To this end, 140 hectares of industrial and commercial space are to be created with excellent connections to efficient transport routes and the research and innovation centers of the state capital Dresden.

Industrial and commercial park “An der Elbe”
Created in the course of the revitalization of a brownfield site, the location is a success story and at the same time a “pilot project” of Stadtentwicklungsgesellschaft Pirna mbH, which was founded in 1995.
Copitz-Nord industrial estate
A wasteland for years, Stadtentwicklungsgesellschaft Pirna was able to complete the development of the site in 2018, thereby expanding the range of commercial space available.
Sonnenstein Industrial Park
The bypass of the B 172 (completion 2022) and the associated faster connection to the A 17 will make the location even more attractive for new settlements.
Upper Elbe Industrial Park
The three municipalities of Pirna, Dohna and Heidenau are planning a 270-hectare business park to attract industrial jobs and secure and strengthen the economic location between the A17 highway and the B 172a.
